Night of a million mushrooms
What better way to begin this new version of my blog, than with a post about good food.

This weekend celebrated the 4th round of cook-off’s between Max and Erik. This time, Max boosted the Night of a Thousand Mushrooms to Night of a Million Mushrooms. That’s a lot of fungi! Needless to say, I deviated from my normal diet, but itwas well worth it. As you will see from the photos this meal was unreal. This man cooks as good as he looks = fantastic! Amuse Bouche:
Porcini On Seared Polenta. Served with shiitake dust, garlic oil, basil oil.

Second Course:
Sformato Of Porcini. Served with Green Garlic Cream & Greens.

Third Course:
Plate Lasagna of Portobellos With Truffle Oil.

Fourth Course:
Chocolat En Chocolat. Served with kumkwat and vanilla bean ice cream.

And a ginger cupcake from Miette for me.

Fifth Course:
Fromage. Goat cheese with spelt bread.
